- YMCKKI ribbons consist of yellow (Y), magenta (M) and cyan (C) panels for printing a full spectrum of colors by combining the colors using varying degrees of heat. The two K panels are black resin, typically used for printing text and barcodes. The (I) panel is an inhibitor panel that prevents retransfer film from adhering to surface foils on the front of the card or signature panels on the back of the card.
- YMCKKI ribbons are for retransfer, dual-sided printing with YMC and the first K panel printing on the front side, the second K panel prints on the back side of the card and the I panel is used on either the front or back of the card.
